Unexpected Ceramics: The New Trend in Tableware

Unexpected Ceramics: The New Trend in Tableware

by on April 12, 2017

Ceramics are a given aspect of any tableware set up, be it in restaurants, pubs, bars, cafes or hotels. However there is a new tableware trend emerging where ceramics are used in surprising ways – adding some understated flair to tableware designs.

A cardboard milk carton, a polystyrene burger box or a standard sardine tin would never normally make their way onto a table at a sophisticated restaurant or hotel. However, our new ceramic milk cartons, ceramic takeaway boxes and ceramic sardine tins are proving extremely popular with a broad range of our customers. Clientele are really enjoying the unexpected juxtaposition between these ceramic and disposable catering solutions.

Cocktail bars are also getting on the bandwagon, serving drinks in ceramic glasses or ceramic tankards, ceramic milk bottles or even small ceramic buckets. This is really providing a point of difference for venues who want to dress to impress but without going to the extreme!

Moreover, catering venues are able to find multiple uses for their ceramics: a ceramic tankard to serve chips during the day and drinks in the evening; or a ceramic milk bottle to serve milk at breakfast and adding a stripy straw for quirky milkshakes throughout the rest of the day.

Watch this space for more unexpected ceramics, which really are the new trend in hospitality tableware.
